Interceptor Heartworm & Worm Control Treatment for Dogs

Interceptor is a remarkable heartworm prevention treatment and treats and controls major types of intestinal worms (roundworm, hookworm, and whipworm) in dogs and puppies 4 weeks of age or older and weighing 2 lbs or more.

Interceptor is a monthly, oral tablet that protects against major types of intestinal worms and prevents heartworm disease in dogs and puppies. It is indicated for the prevention of heartworm disease and treatment and control of four dangerous and potentially fatal internal parasites: heartworms, roundworms, whipworms, and hookworms. Formulated in a tasty beef-flavored tablet it is administered once a month to protect dogs from intestinal worms and heartworm for a month-long protection.

Interceptor (milbemycin) is trusted by veterinarians for over decades for the prevention of heartworm disease and prevention of harmful internal parasites. It has been designed in a small-sized tablet, ideal for smaller dogs and approved for dogs and puppies 4 weeks of age or older and weighing 2 lbs or more.

Get your pet checked for existing heartworms infections. If there are heartworms present in his body then treat them first and then only start Interceptor tablets.

The tablets are available in four different color-coded packs based on the weight of dogs. Refer the Dosage table for details.

Pets will take the tasty beef flavored tablets directly by hand. If not then mix with their food and make sure they finish entire meal to ingest the complete dosage.

If the dose is not taken fully then give another dose for an effective treatment. Repeat on the same date every month.

It is safe for 2 weeks and older puppies, adult dogs, pregnant and breeding female dogs.

Dosage:

• Get your pet diagnosed for an existing heartworm infection before using Interceptor tablets. If the test report is positive then treat the adult heartworms before starting the preventive.
• In case of giving Interceptor tablets to an already infected dog, a mild transient shock-like reaction may occur. To avoid such health traps consult a veterinarian and take proper guidance before and after the treatment.
• Wash hands after administering the tablet.
• Do not give to any other species.
• Keep away from children, edible things and pet feeds.
• Interceptor is a highly safe tablet but in rare cases, it may show unusual reactions. Immediately contact a veterinarian if something typical is observed in the treated pet.
