Stronghold All-in-one Treatment for Cats

Stronghold for Cats is a liquid spot-on formula that offers protection against various parasite infestations in cats. The product acts against parasite infestations that live on the skin or in the fur including fleas, ear mites and biting lice. The treatment also aids in treating parasites that live inside the body including roundworms and hookworms. It also helps prevent heartworm disease. Stronghold for Cats kills adult fleas, stops flea eggs from hatching and prevents and controls flea infestations. It also treats flea allergy dermatitis. This topical treatment is recommended to use on kittens and cats from 8 weeks of age and safe for pregnant, breeding and lactating cats.

How it works?

The treatment is composed of the active ingredient, selamectin. It activates ‘chloride channels’ on muscle and nerve cells’ surface. The charged chloride particles then enter the nerve cells of the parasites and disrupt their normal activity, leading to their paralysis or death.

• Remove Stronghold for Cats from its package.
• Hold the pipette upright and press the cap to break the applicator seal.
• Make a partition of the cat’s hair at the base of its neck in front of the shoulder blades to expose a small area of the skin.
• Apply the tip of the pipette to the skin and squeeze the pipette to empty the contents on one spot.
• Do not touch the product with your fingers.

Dosage Table

• Do not apply to cats under eight weeks of age.
• Not to be used on sick cats or weak and underweight ones.
• Keep the product away from sources of ignition.
• Do not smoke, eat or drink while handling the product.
• If it gets inside the eyes, flush immediately and consult a doctor.
• Wash hands with soap and water after handling the product.
• Dispose of used applicators immediately after application.
• If you have sensitive skin or a known allergy, handle the product with caution.
• Do not touch the treated animal until the application is dry.
• Keep children away from the treated animals on the day of the treatment.
